The Laurier Optical Story
Laurier Optical was created in 1985. At that time it was a single location on Laurier Avenue in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Over the next 34 years, the business grew and developed, increasing and expanding until today. Laurier Optical has grown to 23 locations throughout Ontario and Quebec.
In 2017 Laurier Optical was purchased by Dr. Sam Mansour with one goal in mind: To establish the new standard in the eye care industry. "Treat customers like family and friends while offering them the best services at fair prices." In order to do this, Dr. Mansour knew that he would have to build a franchise model that attracted the right type of Franchise Partner who shared his vision to become the go to locations for eye-health and eyewear in the country.

Meet Dr. Sam Mansour
Dr. Mansour has alway been entrepreneurial having operated several businesses prior to becoming an Optometrist. From a young age, “Sam” has had a passion for helping his community and it was while completing his undergrad in physics that he knew he wanted to continue his studies in the medical field - it was then he decided to become an Optometrist.
Aside from the obvious benefit of serving others, he knew that the sky was the limit in optometry and that he would be able to have full control over his lifestyle and earning potential. Fast forward over a decade and Dr. Mansor is the owner of Laurier Optical and has a deep desire to provide other entrepreneurs and optical professionals the opportunity to grow successful profitable businesses, while serving the communities that they live in.
